Consider a Leadership Position for 2024-2025

Did you know that:

  • our club by-laws mandate that each board member and chair must rotate out of her position after just 2 years of service?
  • we have 40 positions that are filled each year in Aggie Moms?

We are an evergreen organization that always relies on our members to step into greater responsibility! We have all sorts of jobs with different time commitments. If you don’t see something here, we can direct you to an area that may need help with a single project. Think about ways you could serve other Aggie Moms as you check out our needs for 2024-25:

Open Board Member Positions: (current openings shown in RED)

– President-Elect (will serve as President during 2025-26)

– VP Fundraising (the board has some great new ideas for you!)

– Secretary

– Treasurer

Chairs & Other Coordinators Needed:

– Howdy Party Co-Chair (work with last year’s chairman for our kick-off event of the year. She’s all organized and needs some help with execution.)

Hospitality Co-Chair (Love to host a party?  This position sets up for monthly meetings for all to enjoy! We have one co-chair and looking for another.)

– Goody Bags Co-Chair (Everyone’s favorite – twice a year project so plenty of down time.)

– Social Co-Chair (Our goal is to have a social event each month – a coffee, luncheon, wine-tasting – get creative!)

– Audit Committee Chair (Easy on your time. 3-4 ladies to oversee the treasurer a couple of times per year.)

– Social Media Coordinator (Facebook whiz? Help engage our membership and the public with NETC Aggie Moms.)

– Webmaster (Update the website so our membership has all the info available.)

– Fall / Spring Fundraising Coordinator (2 positions – oversee a fundraiser to raise scholarship money.)

– Spirit Wear / Merch Coordinator (Coordinate t-shirt and yard sign production in the fall.)

– Meeting Venue Contact (prefer member of Good Shepherd). (Be our liason with the church – easy peasy!)

– Ring of Honor Moms Coordinator (Moms of former students still want to socialize. Keep mostly lunches going or come up with new ideas.)

Photographer (take photos or collect from others for social media and website. Upload to a storage site.)

– (New!) Membership Outreach Chair (Help new members engage. New position so come with your ideas!)

– (New!) Boutique Chair (The federation has a Spring Boutique. We can sell something to raise scholarship money. New position so bring on your creative ideas.)

Questions about these positions, or need more info? Reach out to Bev Reynal, our Parliamentarian, at 972-365-9015 or Janet Adams, our President, at 469-271-7313 or netcpresident@aggiemoms.org, or email the board at netcaggiemoms@aggiemoms.org. We’ll help you find a great fit!

March Meeting – The Big Event

THE BIG EVENT

With Susan Tanner – “Soldier Care”
6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2022

The Big Event has become the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation. Each spring, scores of Aggies at Texas A&M show their appreciation to the residents of Bryan/College Station through one-day service projects. NETC Aggie Moms supports this mission with a Big Event of our own, and will once again join forces with Susan Tanner to build care packages for soldiers!

About Susan Tanner
Susan Tanner’s father served in the Air Force for 21 years. She began supporting our troops in 2000 by sending them books. In 2003, she launched the soldier care ministry at White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake. A longtime Southlake resident, Susan share impact the program has on our troops—and guide us in packing boxes.

Aggie Moms can help by bringing items to pack boxes. Please select items on the Aggie Soldier List to bring to the March 7 meeting. Susan will give us instructions on how to pack the boxes. If you cannot make it to the meeting, here are drop-off locations for your items:

• 1205 Del Mar Drive, Southlake (Lisa McElaney: 801.808.7919)
• 700 Muirfield Road, Keller (Leslie Kalina: 817.903.4158)
• 5369 Lake Chelen Drive, Fort Worth – border of N. Ft. Worth/Keller (Cris Casarez: 817.239.1758)
